About the Department

                               V.L.B. JANAKIAMMAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY started in the year 1985.Since its inception, the college has been relentlessly serving the society by imparting Engineering Education to students from all strata of society.
                              Our College is located in a serene atmosphere and at an elevated place on the NH-47 leading to Palakkad from Coimbatore. The College is located at a distance of 10 Km from Coimbatore Railway Junction and 12 Km from Gandhipuram Bus Stand. The College campus, in kovaipudur, is housed in a area of 130 acres.
                              College offerssix UG Programmes of various disciplines viz. Civil, Mech., ECE, EEE, CSE and IT for B.E & B. Tech degree.It also caters to five PG Programmes, namely M.E(Structural),M.E(Computer Science),M.E(Applied Electronics),MBA and MCA.

                 The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is accrediated by AICTE-NBA,New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University and has an intake of 60 students. The department offers a Four-year B.E. degree Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department is well equipped with the latest equipments for the laboratories, viz., Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Power systems Lab, Micro Processor and Micro Controller Lab, Control and Instumentation Lab and Electrical Workshop.
